April was born and raised in Belleville, KS. While living there she received an Associate of Science degree from Cloud County Community College. Belleville is also where her three wonderful children were born. She has two beautiful daughters, Veronica and Vanessa and a lovable son, Devin. After moving to Clay Center in 2008, her family underwent a difficult divorce, but The Lord was ready to redeem the hardship.
April's faith was strengthened as Jesus led her to the Covenant Church through caring neighbors, and once there He led her into strong friendships where she was able to grow and heal. April began working at Ray's Apple Market in 2008 and while working there she met and fell in love with an incredible man, Travis. They were married in 2010.
April began working as a paraprofessional at CCCHS in 2011, and worked there for five years helping in math and science classrooms. At the beginning of 2016 April was called to become the Elementary Children’s Pastor for the 1st through 5th graders at CCCOV. Her passion is helping young children learn about Jesus and live out their faith daily, realizing that even at a young age they can have an impact on their world. She continues to be involved with the school children in the community through Substitute Teaching and is also the director for the Time 4 U program. Always ready to follow the Holy Spirit’s leading she is excited to see what The Lord has planned next. Her motto is "Perseverance through Adversity".
