My grandpa would put salt on his watermelon. I like to put salt on anything potato (baked, mashed, frenched…). I’ve heard of people putting salt on avocados, tomatoes, salads and bacon!
Why do we like salt so much?
One article I read this week (from the British Heart Foundation) says, ‘part of the problem is that the human drives us to eat salt, and we just don’t know why….yet.
Interesting – God created us with
a taste for
a capacity for
a need for
a desire for
And then, Jesus adds to that list that we to be salt:
Matt 5:13 “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.
Be salt… with a strong encouragement not to lose our saltiness!
