People around the world have different beliefs about God’s nature and character, and even the very existence of God. And so, there are many different beliefs about the existence or nature of heaven and how to get there. Some people don’t believe in an afterlife at all. For them, this is it. Live this life, and when you’re done, you’re done. Others, like the Hindus believe that depending on how you live, you will be reincarnated into a greater or lesser next life. Every major religion in the world believes that “their way” is the “only way.”
The message this week is, “Do All Roads Lead to Heaven?” It’s #3 in our God Questions series. So far we’ve studied the proof that, 1) God is Real, and 2) The Bible is True. So what does the Bible say about heaven and how do we get there?
In John 14:6, Jesus says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me.” Jesus is suggesting that there are many roads out there and some might be very scenic and enticing, but only one leads to heaven. If we want to wind up in heaven, we better pay attention to God’s roadmap.
Do all roads lead to heaven? I don’t think so. Come join us again at the Bandshell.
