We had a great day at Dexter Park last Sunday. Warm weather, nice breeze, and a wonderful crowd. It was great to see everybody again. I had to use quite a bit of hand sanitizer on my elbow to disinfect after all the elbow bumps. It was a great day.
We are in this sermon series called, “The God Questions.” Last week I addressed the issue of, “Is God Real?” and presented some factual and logical answers. I hope it led you to take God seriously and perhaps take a step of faith toward a real living relationship with Him.
This week I will dig into Question #2 in the series, “Is the Bible True?”As Covenanters, the first point in our statement of faith is, “We Affirm the Centrality of the Word of God.” We teach our confirmation students to recite, “We believe in the Holy Scriptures, the Old and New Testaments, to be the Word of God and only perfect rule for faith, doctrine, and conduct.” Knowing that most people rely on factual and logical proof that something is “true,” we will look at the historical, scientific, archaeological, and prophetic evidence that the Bible really is true.
