Do you know the difference between knowledge and wisdom? There are some folks out there who have a brain full of knowledge, but they’re not very smart in how they live. Wisdom means we know how to put all that knowledge into practice in our daily life.
The Bible is the Word of God and the only perfect rule for faith, doctrine and conduct. So, it’s good to read up, study up, and know the Word. But it’s not just about “knowing.” Jesus said, “If you love me, you will do what I have commanded you.” And we remember the story of the sheep and the goats. The only difference between the sheep and goats was what they did and didn’t DO!
This Sunday I will be addressing the issue of putting our faith, our love of God, and all that we have learned about Him into practice. My sermon title is, “Living the Word.” Let’s not just think about God, let’s actively live in relationship with Him.
