As Christ followers, we are called, commanded, and equipped to share our story. Sharing our story is part of the mission Jesus Christ called His disciples to before He ascended to heaven. In the final chapter of Matthew, Jesus said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
‘Make disciples’ simply means to ‘call individuals to commit to Jesus’ – and this is a command given to all who claim to be a disciple of Christ. The great news is that you don’t need to be a pastor or work in ministry to share your story. You don’t need to know everything about the Bible – or even lots of things. You don’t even need to be good with words. The only thing you need is your own personal encounter with Christ, and a willingness to let the Lord use you to share that story with others.
We’d love for you to join us this Sunday morning as we wrap up the BLESS Series with our final missional practice, Share Your Story. You have a story to share, and there are many who need to hear it. See you Sunday!
