Jason Metz and the band Cloverton will be here next Sunday for a special day of Worship and Prayer as they lead us at our morning worship services and evening Fresh Encounter (7p). Also that evening is a Prayer Team sponsored Soup Supper at 5:30p in the MPR to learn more about the ministry of Jason and Amy Metz.  NOTE: Nursery will be provided for ages 3 yrs. and younger at the Fresh Encounter.

COVENANT CEDARS WORK/WORSHIP MISSION TRIP

Work/Worship Mission Trip to Covenant Cedars is Fri-Sat, March 19-20. The group will leave at 5:00p on Friday and return Saturday evening. NICARAGUA SUMMER ‘10 MISSION

INSPIRATIONAL SING

The 32nd Annual “Inspirational Sing” sponsored by the Clay County Arts Council is Sunday, March 28, at ECC.  Hear local friends and neighbors sing faith-inspired songs.  Arts Council Scholarship will be announced.

TEAM SHELLY TO FIGHT MS

TEAM SHELLY will be walking again this year to raise money for MS, in honor of Shelly Bradford.  The event is on April 17 at Sunset Zoo. Please consider joining our team or making a donation. DENTISTRY FROM THE HEART

On Friday, April 23rd, Dr. Rick Hammel are holding a Dentistry From The Heart event, an annual gift of free dental exams, x-rays, simple fillings, extractions and cleanings to those who would not otherwise have access to these important treatments. Services will be rendered to adult patients only (age 18 and above) on a first come, first served basis from 7:30am to 4:30pm at the Clay Center Family Dental Care office at 714 Liberty St., Clay Center, KS. Jason Metz with Haskell University in Lawrence will be here on  Sunday, March 21 along with the band Cloverton for a special Sunday of worship and prayer. They will lead us in our morning services as well as a special Fresh Encounter that evening at 7p.  A Prayer Team-sponsored Soup Supper will take place at 5:30p that evening in the MPR where you can come and learn more about the ministry of Jason and Amy Metz.

Super Sitter Babysitting Clinic

Getting the training you need to babysit or help in the church nursery at the “Super Sitter Babysitting Clinic” on Saturday, February 27 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.  For guys and gals who are in 6th grade or older.  Contact Julie Chestnut at 632-5653 if interested.

Spiritual Gifts Class

Discover the spiritual gifts God gave you and how you might use them to further His Kingdom when you take the “Discovering My Ministry” Spiritual Gifts Class.  This class, led by Char Rundell, begins Sunday, March 7 at 11:00 a.m. (Room 108) and runs for four Sundays.

Merge Ministries Summer Staff Needed

Merge Ministries is in need of six more summer staff. The Couple Connect Marriage Retreat, led by Amy Wichman, licensed marriage and family therapist, will be held March 12-14, 2010 at Living Water Ranch.  The retreat features topics for real marriages while offering insights based on research, experience, and scripture. Valentine’s Banquet

Valentine’s Banquet is Saturday, February 20 at 6:00 p.m, in the Multi-purpose Room.  Meal is catered by Ricky’s in Hanover; entertainment provided by Nick Levendofsky, a Ventriloquist from Belleville, KS and Sweet Adelines Quartet.  Childcare services are provided.

Tickets are $10 per person and are available for purchase in the Parlor on Sunday, February 14, or can be reserved by calling 632-5653.  Deadline is February 17.
