Today’s theme would most likely be called “new”. For the students here, this is a new and completely different experience than they have ever had in their own lives. Most have grown up in Clay, some haven’t, but regardless, this experience, this journey they are about to take will change and mold them for years down the road. I am so so so excited to see what God has planned for them this week. I am praying that God will renew their passion for his glory, renew their individual relationships with him, and become a broken individual before God, ready for him to “undo” our own work in our lives. He must be the change agent, he must become the one that triggers everything in their lives.
This theme of “new” also thrives from scripture. “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation….” When we allow Christ to undo our lives and mold us the way he wants us to become, we are a new creation. We don’t go back to our old ways, we realize our wrongs. We change the way we live.
We become transformed.
That’s what this week is all about. Allowing God to “undo” our own work, “do” his work, and “transform” us into his new creation.
