Welcome to the world of Romans!
So far I have been really encouraged and excited to see so many people in our church family reading through the New Testament together! This coming Sunday, we will explore some of the major themes in what is probably my favorite letter in the New Testament: Paul’s letter to the Christians in Rome.
Romans is arguably Paul’s most profound and complex letter – one that theologians from across the history of the church have wrestled with and been transformed by. It has played a pivotal role at key junctures in church history, provoking the conversions of luminaries such as St. Augustine, Martin Luther and John Wesley (to name a few!). While I will not be able to do this exhilarating letter full justice in just one sermon, I hope to leave you with some solid tidbits to think about and ponder as you work your way through it.
I have to warn you though: reading Romans can be hazardous to your spiritual health – it will change your life!
See you Sunday!
